Georgia basketball is trying to upgrade everything in the Mark White era. White helped Georgia improve its roster this offseason and plans to have the Bulldogs play tougher nonconference schedules.
This year Georgia basketball opens the season against the Oregon Ducks in Las Vegas, per reports.
Let’s take a look at how Georgia basketball’s nonconference schedule is shaping up for the 2023-2024 college basketball season:
Nov. 6: vs. Oregon in Las Vegas
Georgia will play Oregon in part of a doubleheader at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Georgia’s season opener will not receive as much media attention as the USC versus Kansas State game in Las Vegas, which will feature Bronny James’ college debut.
Nov. 10: vs. Wake Forest
Georgia hosts Wake Forest in 2023 after traveling to play the Demon Deacons in 2022. Wake Forest topped Georgia last season and finished the year 19-14.
Nov. 17-19: Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Nassau Championship
Georgia’s first regular-season tournament is expected to take place in the Bahamas. The Bulldogs will compete with a trio of NCAA Tournament teams (Miami, Providence and Kansas State) to win the Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Nassau Championship from Nov. 17-19.
Dec. 22: vs. North Florida
North Florida will travel to Athens, Georgia, to face the Bulldogs. North Florida went 14-17 last season and won only three road games.
Dec. 30: vs. Alabama A&M
Georgia basketball hosts Alabama A&M in late December. Alabama A&M went 15-18 during the 2022-2023 season.
TBD: vs. Georgia Tech
Georgia lost a close game on the road at Georgia Tech last season. The Bulldogs will look at avenge last year’s 79-77 defeat in the friendly confines of Stegeman Coliseum.
