UFL Update 0.67 Launches September 12, Ushering in the New Season

Strikerz is set to release its biggest UFL update yet with version 0.67, going live on September 12 between 3:00 and 6:00 AM ET. The update will kick off the 2025/26 in-game season and reshapes how the game is played.

The development team has reworked the meta to streamline the experience while keeping it rewarding. Player cards now form the foundation of squad building, replacing the old system of fixed-price transfers and gradual upgrades through skins and experience. Each card comes with set attributes and progression depends on acquiring new cards rather than modifying existing ones.

Clubs start with base cards available through packs or the Transfer Market, featuring much lower prices. Mastery cards bring additional mechanics such as Link-Up, which ties players together through traits like play style, nationality or league, along with new skills and collectible items. All current assets carry over, with skins automatically converted into cards that keep their bonuses, creating a more accessible system for new players while still offering depth for veterans.

The ambassador team is growing as well, with Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde and Barcelona’s Raphinha joining the roster. Their addition highlights UFL’s global reach and connection to fans across continents.

Another major addition is the arrival of Legends, iconic players who left their mark on the sport. A new Legend will be introduced each month through the Team Pass, starting with the first reveal on September 12. The new season will also feature special events, including the adidas-backed Team Pass launching in September and October.

Since its debut nine months ago, UFL has drawn in 5.3 million players worldwide. The largest communities are in the United States, Brazil, the UK, France, Mexico, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Turkey. True to its vision as a community-driven project, UFL continues to evolve through updates shaped by player input and gameplay data.

“We’re pivoting the game: a new core, new meta, new UI, legends, lots of other things. In fact, it really is a brand new game. We invite everyone to try it for the first time or come again — we are incredibly excited to see how UFL will develop next, because this is a living product, evolving right here and now together with our community. We are deeply grateful for the passion and feedback of our players, who help shape UFL every day.” -Strikerz Inc.’s CEO Eugene Nashilov
