The UFC makes its debut in Uruguay next month with UFC on ESPN+ 14, which features a women’s flyweight championship rematch in the main event.
Reigning 125-pound titleholder Valentina Shevchenko (17-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) will attempt to avenge her first career loss from 2010 when she runs it back with Liz Carmouche (13-6 MMA, 5-4 UFC), who was the first female in UFC history to enter the octagon.
The title fight headlines the Aug. 10 card, which takes place at Antel Arena in Montevideo and streams on ESPN+, and is the lone featured matchup on the official UFC on ESPN+ 14 event poster.
