UFC star Walt Harris' daughter missing as car is found with 'scrapes on passenger door'

UFC fighter Walt Harris has launched a desperate plea for help following the disappearance of his daughter in Montgomery, Alabama.

The sports star took to Instagram to appeal for any information about the whereabouts of his daughter Aniah Blanchard.

The 19-year-old has not been in contact with anybody since Wednesday, and her car - a black 2017 Honda CRV - was found on Friday around 50 miles from where she went missing.

The car was found with damage to the front right fender and scrapes on the passenger side door.

Blanchard's mother, Angela Haley-Harris, told WSFA that her daughter had driven from Auburn to North Alabama with her brother in order to attend a funeral on the Wednesday morning.

She allegedly later told a friend on Snapchat that she was out with a 'young man' she had just met.

Blanchard last talked to a friend around midnight before she disappeared, and CCTV images showed her making a purchase at a local convenience store.

Her mobile phone has not been used since 11.57pm on the Wednesday and her debit card was also last used around the same time.

Police are not currently treating the disappearance as foul play, although Haley-Harris said it was uncharacteristic of her daughter to not get in contact with her parents.

Harris, who is 10th in the world in the UFC heavyweight rankings, took to social media to urge anyone with information to contact the police.

He shared pictures of his daughter along with the caption "Please help find my baby Aniah Blanchard she is missing!"

There were a number of messages of support for the fighter, with one person posting on Instagram: "God Bless Her and Protect Her. Find Aniah," while another added "I hope they find her soon and pray for her."

Harris, who is nicknamed the Big Ticket, has been professional since 2011, and his professional mixed martial arts record stands at 13 wins and seven losses.
