UFC star Tony Ferguson takes aim at Conor McGregor in social media posts

Tony Ferguson has taken aim at Conor McGregor in a number of posts on social media.

The American said the pair had "unfinished business" in one post before tweeting "where you at McNuggets?".

Ferguson has long called for a bout with the former two-weight champion, who he has been critical of on a number of occasions over the years.

'El Cucuy' claimed McGregor was a 'coward' for opting to fight Dustin Poirier for a second time, with the Dubliner tasting defeat twice to Poirier since.

Both men have yet to win a fight in some time, with Ferguson losing his last three bouts and his last victory coming against Donald Cerrone in 2019.

McGregor's last win also came against Cerrone, when he demolished 'Cowboy' in just 40 seconds in early 2020.

But the Notorious faces a long road back to the top after suffering a horror leg break in his trilogy fight with Poirier in July.

Poirier is now set to face lightweight champion Charles Oliveira for the belt on December 11, while McGregor is not expected to return to the Octagon until next summer.

Ferguson's comments come a few days after McGregor was alleged to have assaulted a DJ in Rome.

The 33-year-old spent a number of days in the Italian capital with his fiancee Dee Devlin and their families as they celebrated their son Rian's christening.

He is alleged to have punched Italian DJ Francesco Facchinetti when the pair partied together in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Facchinetti officially filed a complaint against the UFC star with Italian police on Tuesday.

He took to Instagram to post a copy of his official police complaint with the caption: “Do you think I was joking? In here is everything that happened from A to Z.”

And now Mr Facchinetti has claimed he is not interested in being “paid off” to withdraw his complaint – even if he was offered €10million.
