UFC star Paul Craig laughs off Shogun Rua finger up the bum antics in huge win over MMA legend

Scottish UFC star Paul 'Bearjew' Craig joked about the 'oil check' from rival Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua in his impressive win over the MMA legend.

The Airdrie light-heavyweigh t earned a victory in the second round at UFC 255 in Las Vegas in a blockbuster rematch from their bout last year.

A series of heavy strikes from the Scottish Hit Squad fighter forced his Brazilian foe to tap out inside the Octagon.

However, the use of the strange jiu-jitsu move to 'oil check' Craig by putting a finger in his bum left many pundits stunned during the bout.

Craig laughed off the use of the move, which is within the rules, in his post-match press conference adding: "Normally you need to take someone out for a meal to get that."

The Scot felt the fight went exactly to plan as a series of heavy blows forced Shogun to tap out.

Craig added: "I had set in my sights winning in the second round, but I knew his experience would be there in the first round.

"Eventually I knew he would gas up and I would impose my will.

"In my last fight, he just kept rolling and rolling and he's like a phoenix - he rises from the ashes.

"When I had him in that position, even though he was trying to get out, I just had a feeling that this was my time."
