UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has made his intentions clear that he wants to box Tyson Fury in what would be a heavyweight blockbuster.
Ngannou, the world record holder for the most powerful punch, is currently dominating the heavyweight division in the UFC - with five consecutive wins all coming by way of an early knockout with his simply outrageous power.
The Cameroonian did not start fighting until the age of 26 - making an incredibly quick impression in the UFC as he would win his first six fights.
But his current contract talks have stalled with the UFC and he has admitted that he wants to face Fury in the boxing ring.
That would mean his upcoming title defence against Ciryl Gane could be his last in the octagon - or at least point to an extended break.
Speaking to TMZ, he said: “It’s always been down the line; this is something that I’m not taking my eyes off.
“This is going [to] happen either way. Even if I stay... If, or when, the UFC and I finalise a deal, the boxing part has to be in it. I can’t see myself retiring without boxing.

“I would like to test myself to their level. It’s not the same sport, but I’m the champion, so I’m in the top in this division.
"At the end of the day, it’s just about throwing hands, throwing punches, having a good delivery system to throw those bombs. I’m sure that if I deliver my own punches pretty good, I can [do] some damage.”
Fury is not shying away from Ngannou and talked up the chances of a fight last year.
Fury told TMZ: "Me and Ngannou in the small gloves, let’s make it happen. As soon as I am done with Wilder and (Anthony) Joshua, I will fight Ngannou in an octagon, in the four ounce gloves and just punching.”
Fury wants to return to the ring early this year after beating Deontay Wilder in a trilogy bout in October.
