The main event of UFC Fight Night 157 in Shenzhen is officially on after Zhang Weili and strawweight champion Jessica Andrade both made weight.

Brazilian Andrade (20-6, 7 KOs) weighed in at 114.5 pounds (51.9 kilograms) on Friday morning, half a pound lighter than Chinese challenger Zhang (19-1, 9 KOs).

All fighters except one made weight for Saturday’s show at the Universiade Sports Centre.

Wu “Mulan” Yanan (10-2, 6 KOs) tipped the scales at 129lbs for her flyweight fight against Mizuki Inoue – 3lbs over the limit.

However, China’s Wu will still face the Japanese UFC newcomer, who weighed in at 125lbs. Yanan must forfeit 30 per cent of her fight purse to Inoue.

Andrade will make her first title defence since beating Rose Namajunas at UFC 237. She faces No 6-ranked “Magnum”, who is on a 19-fight win streak.

Zhang’s message after making weight was simple. “Let’s go,” she wrote on Instagram to her nearly 40,000 followers. The 30-year-old is bidding to become the first Chinese UFC champion.

In the co-main event, China’s Li “The Leech” Jingliang weighed in at 171lbs, with Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos coming in at 170.5lbs.

The main card also features Kai Kara-France (126lbs) against Mark De La Rosa (125.5lbs), Lu Zhenhong (146lbs) taking on Movsar Evloev (146lbs) and Wu’s bout with Inoue.
