UFC, PFL veteran Ronny Markes signs with Bellator

Bellator has added a veteran name to its heavyweight division with the signing of Ronny Markes.

MMA Junkie today confirmed with a Bellator official that Markes (19-7 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) has signed an exclusive, multi-fight deal with the promotion.

The Brazilian comes in to the organization with much experience. He’s fought five times under the UFC banner and recently wrapped up a four-fight stint with PFL.

Markes, 31, is coming off a second-round TKO of Sigi Pesaleli at “PFL 2019: Week 3” in June, snapping his two-fight skid.

No date or opponent is set for Markes’ Bellator debut at this time.
