UFC on ESPN 56 bonuses: 12-second winner is a $50K no-brainer

The UFC handed out four post-fight bonuses after Saturday’s card, including one to a 12-second finisher.

After UFC on ESPN 56, four fighters picked up an extra $50,000 for their performances in St. Louis. Check out the winners below.

Performance of the Night: Carlos Ulberg

Carlos Ulberg def. Alonzo Menifield via knockout (punches) – Round 1, 0:12

Carlos Ulberg (10-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) fought Alonzo Menifield (15-4-1 MMA, 8-4-1 UFC) like he had someplace else to be. Menifield got in close with him right away, but Ulberg shoved him to the side and landed hard. The fight was over in just 12 seconds.

Performance of the Night: Diego Ferreira

Diego Ferreira def. Mateusz Rebecki via TKO (strikes) – Round 3, 4:51

Diego Ferreira (19-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) was the biggest underdog on the entire card, but he made things look reasonably easy against Mateusz Rebecki (19-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and eventually put him away with a third-round TKO.

Fight of the Night: Trey Waters vs. Billy Goff

Trey Waters def. Billy Goff via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Trey Waters (9-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Billy Goff (9-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) looked like a couple of zombies by the time they were done slugging it out for 15 minutes. When they were through on the prelims, it was Waters who had a unanimous decision in what was at that point easily the most entertaining fight of the night.
