UFC on ESPN 47 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.
In the main event, Sean Strickland (26-5 MMA, 13-5 UFC) takes on Abus Magomedov (25-4-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at middleweight. Grant Dawson (19-1-1 MMA, 7-0-1 UFC) fights Damir Ismagulov (24-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) in the lightweight co-feature.

Blagoy Ivanov vs. Alexandr Romanov
Round 1 – They touch gloves and start sizing each other up. Ivanov circles around on the outside as Romanov stalks without cutting off the cage. A left from Romanov is offered but Ivanov ducks away. A moment later an overhand right is thrown by Ivanov. Romanov looks to land two-punch combo and then a leg kick. A big left hand follows a moment later, and Ivanov responds with a punch of his own. Romanov threatens the takedown but is shaken off easily. A sharp two-punch combo hits home nicely for Ivanov. Romanov goes to the inside kick again, and they trade punches upstairs. A big left hand lands for Romanov with 30 seconds to go. Another lands a few seconds later. Ivanov offers a combo that is ducked under by Romaov, who goes in for the clinch right before the horn. MMA Junkie scores the round 10-9 for Romanov.
Round 2 – They open the second round pawing out jabs, with neither fighter committing to landing. Romanov darts forward with a double jab that lands. Ivanov answers with a pair of right hands. Romanov adds a high kick into the mix of strikes. They exchange punches, with Romanov looking for a kick to the body as well. The right jab lands again for Romanov, but this time Ivanov lands a combo in return. They continue to trade punches in the center, but Romanov switches it up and darts in for the clinch. He gets the body lock, the takedown, and strong top position against the fence. Romanov lands a series of hard punches in the closing seconds while keeping Ivanov pinned to the mat. Round 3 – Ivanov looks for the right hand early, but Romanov evades. A slapping leg kick lands for Romanov. He then darts ahead with a punching combo. Ivanov lands a right and Romanov answers with a left. Romanov threatens the takedown, but doesn’t fully commit. Ivanov sneaks in a very nice short uppercut. Romanov gets into the clinch and presses Ivanov into the cage for a moment, but they separate without much taking place. Back in the center, Romanov leads the action with punches and kicks. Ivanov looks for a right hand, but gets caught in a Thai clinch for a moment and Romanov lands a hard knee to the body. They trade hard punches upstairs before Romanov gets another clinch against the cage. With just 10 seconds to go, Romanov yanks Ivanov to the canvas and rains down punches until the horn. Round 1 – Good right hand by Carolina. She’s staying mobile, while fighting on the outside. Petrovic looks to close the distance. Good combo by Petrovic, as he presses Carolina into the cage. Carolina immediately reverses the position. Reversed again. Three minutes left. And Petrovic gets the takedown, but reversed in the process. Carolina takes top position from half guard. Carolina working on a triangle choke. She let’s it go. Petrovic scrambles and attempts a knee bar. She doesn’t get it, but end on top. One minute left. Petrovic goes to 50/50, looking for a heel hook. The bell rings.

Round 2 – And these two come out firing! Carolina presses Petrovic against the cage. Shortly after she gets reversed. Not much going on. Carolina reverses the position and she begins to lands knees to the legs and body. Not much power though. Now Petrovic reverses. A lot of cage work and clinching here. They break free. Two minutes left. Good right hand by Carolina! Oh! And Petrovic with a big right hand. Petrovic presses Carolina against the cage. One minute left. Carolina reverses. Petrovic reverses again and gets a takedown in the final seconds.

Round 3 – Good shots here by Carolina. One, two and an elbow by Carolina. Petrovic presses Carolina against the cage. Carolina uses Petrovic’s takedown attempt to reverse it and end on top. Carolina working from half guard. Good shots by Carolina from top. Three minutes left. Petrovic gets up but neing pressed against the cage by Carolina. Petrovic dives for a knee bar, but ends on bottom with no submission. Carolina tries to take the back of Petrovic but ends on bottom. Two minutes left. Two minutes left. While on top, Petrovic goes for a toe hold and gives up position. They’re now on 50/50. They’re scrambling all over the place. Carolina ends on top . They get back up and brawl it out in the final seconds. Neither lands clean.
