The UFC touches down in Denmark for the first time this week with a middleweight headliner in Copenhagen.
Jack Hermansson (20-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) takes on Jared Cannonier (12-4 MMA, 5-4 UFC) in the UFC on ESPN+ 18 main event Saturday at Royal Arena in Copenhagen. The card streams on ESPN+.
Hermansson was born in Sweden and fights out of Norway. He has emerged as a new star for Scandinavian fans to get behind and comes into the bout on a four-fight winning streak. Most recently, he outworked former Strikeforce champion Ronaldo Souza in April in his first UFC main event.
Cannonier has back-to-back wins over former dual WSOF champ David Branch and longtime UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva. The latter came at UFC 237 in Brazil in front of Silva’s home fans and was Cannonier’s second straight since dropping from light heavyweight to 185 pounds.
