UFC on ESPN 10 weigh-in highlights: Cynthia Calvillo on mark, but Jessica Eye misses

LAS VEGAS – The UFC on ESPN 10 main event fighters are weighed in, but one missed the mark.

Recent women’s flyweight title challenger Jessica Eye (15-7 MMA, 5-6 UFC) missed weight for the second straight fight Friday when she came in at 126.25 pounds – just a quarter-pound over – for her fight against fellow contender Cynthia Calvillo (8-1-1 MMA, 5-1-1 UFC). Calvillo was 126.

Eye used the hoop so she could weigh in without clothes – though she kept her facemask on while on the scale. Facemasks are required by the Nevada Athletic Commission at weigh-ins as part of the COVID-19 safety protocols. It is not known if Eye would have been allowed to remove the mask to see if that would have made enough of a difference to get to 126.

When Eye weighed in, she had about 45 minutes left in the two-hour weigh-ins window.

UFC on ESPN 10 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+.
