UFC heavyweight seeks new day job after arsonist ruins strip club where he worked as bouncer

UFC heavyweight Tanner Boser is seeking a new means of income after the strip club where he works was torched by an alleged arsonist last weekend.

Boser (16-5-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) was supposed to make his UFC debut in July in front of a hometown crowd at UFC 240 in Edmonton, Alberta, when, just one day before the fight, his opponent was pulled from the card, apparently after being flagged by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.

Boser was quickly rescheduled for a heavyweight matchup with Daniel Spitz at UFC on ESPN 6 in October, but in the meantime Boser has attempted to keep the income rolling with his job as a bouncer at Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club in south Edmonton. But for now, at least, that job is no more.

According to multiple reports out of Edmonton, Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club was the victim of arson last Saturday morning. No one was injured in the fire, but many personal items belonging to the staff were destroyed. A criminal investigation is ongoing, and the damage was significant enough that the business has been shut down indefinitely.

That’s no help to Boser, who took to social media to volunteer his personal training services to anyone who may need it (via Instagram):

Well as most of you know, Diamonds literally burned down the other day. Sooooooo, if anyone wants to do some 1 on 1 or small group kickboxing or MMA lessons let me know. Kinda got a wide open schedule now. And ladies, “self defence classes” are grade A bullshit, but I can teach you how to punch, elbow, and kick and that and jujitsu are pretty much your best bet. Slide on in to my DMs people!

Boser’s octagon debut against Spitz (6-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) takes place Oct. 18 at TD Garden in Boston.
