UFC free fight: Irene Aldana puts on striking clinic, then submits ex-title challenger Bethe Correia

Irene Aldana’s third UFC win was a big statement and hint for what was to come.

Back at UFC 237 in 2019, Aldana picked up her first finish in the octagon, submitting former bantamweight title challenger Bethe Correia with an armbar in the third round. It was arguably the biggest win of her career at the time, and she did it after putting on a striking clinic.

You can watch Aldana’s win over Correia in the video above.

Aldana (14-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) is gearing up for her first UFC championship fight as she takes on Amanda Nunes (22-5 MMA, 15-2 UFC) for the women’s bantamweight title. The bout headlines UFC 289 on June 10 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
