UFC Fight Night 223 Main Card Digest

UFC Fight Night 223 professional mixed martial arts competitions will feature 12 fights. The tournament is scheduled for April 30 this year, and it will be held in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex arena. The list of the most interesting fights includes two light weight fights and one medium fight. Three matches attract the most attention, namely Arman Tsarukyan vs. Renato Carneiro, Cayo Borrallo vs. Michal Olekseichuk & Nathan Levy vs. Pete Rodriguez. The opponents are not the most famous, but quite spectacular and it should be interesting to watch their confrontations.

Arman Tsarukyan vs. Renato Carneiro

“Akhalkalaki” had eight fights in the UFC. At the same time, a native of Georgia made his debut with a defeat from Islam Makhachev by unanimous decision of the judges. Armand then went on a five-fight winning streak, defeating Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Davi Ramos, Matt Frevol by decision, and Christos Giagos and Yoel Alvarez by TKO with punches. This was followed by a defeat from Mateusz Gamrot. In the last battle, Tsarukyan was stronger than Damir Ismagulov from Kazakhstan. In the upcoming battle, the Armenian will have to face a not very stable, but rather skillful opponent.

Moikanu made his debut in the UFC in 2014 and started with three victories in a row. Tony Niinimäki was defeated by rear naked choke, while Zubaira Tukhugov and Jeremy Stephens were defeated by split decision. In July, a native of the capital of Brazil gave way to Brian Ortega and has not been stable since then. Wins from Calvin Kattar and Cub Swanson were replaced by losses from Jose Aldu, as well as Jung Chang Sung.

Over the next two years, Renatu turned out to be stronger than Damir Hadzovich, Jay Herbert, Alexander Hernandez and Brad Riddell by submission. At the same time, Carneiro was knocked out by Rafael Fiziev and the referee’s decision turned out to be weaker than Rafael dos Anjus. Now the representative of the “First Fight Center” team will meet with a strong opponent.

“Akhalkalaki” lost ahead of schedule only once among the pros and it was at the beginning of his career. Since then Armand has picked up a good move. The Latin American does not have a knockout blow and won the lion’s share of victories by submission, only Tsarukyan is also good in wrestling and is able to neutralize this strong side of the Moikan. So, most likely, Tsarukyan will win here, it is possible that by a referee’s decision.

Cayo Borrallo vs. Michal Olekseichuk

“Natural” spent 15 battles in his professional career. Having won 13 victories (7 ahead of schedule and 6 by judicial decision), the Latin American lost once and another battle was declared invalid. Caio’s only loss by unanimous decision came from Joao Carvalho.

In the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Borrallo defeated Gadzhi Omargadzhiev, Armen Petrosyan and Mahmud Muradov. Prior to that, within the framework of Dana White’s Contender Series 2021, the representative of the Combat Club team was stronger than Aaron Jeffery and Jesse Murray. Now the Brazilian will face a more experienced, but not stable opponent in recent years.

“Lord” held 23 battles in the octagon. Having won in 17 fights (13 ahead of schedule and 4 by decision of the judges), the native of Lenchny suffered 5 defeats. Another fight (with Khalil Rowntree) was declared invalid. Michal won by unanimous decision, but the result was overturned due to a failed drug test. After that, Olekseychuk managed to defeat Gian Villante and Gadzhimurad Antigulov, but lost to the Polish athlete Ovens Saint Preux and Jimmy Krut.

Starting from 2021, the representative of the GKS Górnik Łęczna team was stronger than Modestas Bukauskas, Shamil Gamzatov and Sam Alvey, but lost to Dustin Jacoby by submission by kimura. In the upcoming battle, the 28-year-old fighter will not be easy, but he will try to impose a fight.

Borrallo is in excellent shape. In addition, the Brazilian is equally good at standing and wrestling, while the Pole is a classic drummer. “Natural” has better timing and on canvas the Latino will have an advantage, so Cayo will most likely win here.

Nathan Levy vs. Pete Rodriguez

The Herzliya native started his journey among the pros in 2018. As part of the LFA promotion, the Israeli alternately defeated Marcus Eames, Cameron Underhill, Henry Barahona, Nicholas Badis and Ben Lugo. Nathan defeated Shaheen Santana at Dana White’s Contender Series Contender Series 2020. The debut in the UFC turned out to be a failure due to the loss to Rafa Garcia, but then Levy defeated Mike Breeden and Genaro Valdez by unanimous decision. Now the Israeli athlete will face off against a not particularly formidable opponent.

Rodriguez made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2020. After knocking out Jorge Olea, Yasser Guzman de la Cruz and Jose Luis Rios Navu at iFF, the American made his debut in the UFC, where he was knocked out by Australian Jack Della Maddalena. In the last battle, Pete managed to defeat Mike Jackson with a punch. Now the American will try to defeat a fairly uncompromising opponent.

Levy is more experienced and more diverse, so the Israeli will most likely win here. If you are a fan of professional mixed martial arts and want to start making money on them, then we recommend that you log in to login Parimatch.
