UFC Fight Night 210 post-event facts: Gillian Robertson takes submission record to new heights

The UFC’s final event of September took place Saturday with UFC Fight Night 210, which went down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and featured 13 fights on the docket.

The last of those fights was an important showdown in the bantamweight division. Cory Sandhagen (15-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) delivered a fourth-round TKO of Song Yadong (19-7-1 MMA, 8-2-1 UFC) after a bad cut forced a doctor’s stoppage, putting Sandhagen back on the winning track after consecutive losses.

Events stats

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $155,500.

Debuting fighters went 1-2 at the event.

Gregory Rodrigues, Chidi Njokuani, Joe Pyfer and Damon Jackson earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 210 fight-night bonuses.

The UFC sold VIP tickets to fans for UFC Fight Night 210, but the promotion did not make public the total number of tickets sold or the gate.

Betting favorites went 9-4 on the card.

Betting favorites improved to 20-12 in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 13-bout card was 2:09:32.

Cory Sandhagen vs. Song Yadong

Sandhagen has earned 10 of his 15 career victories by stoppage. That includes six of his eight UFC wins.

Yadong fell to 6-2-1 since he dropped to the UFC bantamweight division.

Yadong has suffered both of his career stoppage losses by stoppage due to strikes.

Rodrigues (13-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) has earned 11 of his 13 career victories by stoppage.

Njokuani (22-8 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has suffered seven of his eight career losses by stoppage.

Andre Fili def. Bill Algeo

Andre Fili (22-9 MMA, 10-8 UFC) snapped his three-fight winless skid for his first victory since June 2020.

Fili’s 10 victories in UFC featherweight competition are tied for fifth-most in divisional history behind Max Holloway (18), Darren Elkins (18), Cub Swanson (13) and Ricardo Lamas (11).

Fili has earned seven of his 10 UFC victories by decision.

Bill Algeo (16-7 MMA, 3-3 UFC) has suffered five of his seven career losses by decision.

Algeo has suffered all three of his UFC losses by decision.

Joe Pyfer def. Alen Amedovski

Pyfer (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has earned nine of his 10 career victories by stoppage.

Alen Amedovski (8-4 MMA, 0-4 UFC) has suffered four consecutive losses after beginning his career 8-0.

Amedovski suffered the first knockout loss of his career.

Rodrigo Nascimento

Rodrigo Nascimento (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) earned the first decision victory of his career.

Tanner Boser (20-9-1 MMA, 4-4 UFC) has suffered eight of his nine career losses by decision.

Boser has suffered all four of his UFC losses by decision.

Anthony Hernandez def. Marc-Andre Barriault

Anthony Hernandez (10-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has earned eight of his 10 career victories by stoppage.

Hernandez has earned three of his four UFC victories by submission.

Marc-Andre Barriault (14-6 MMA, 3-5 UFC) suffered the first submission loss of his career.

Damon Jackson def. Pat Sabatini

Jackson (22-4-1 MMA, 5-2-1 UFC) improved to 5-1 since he returned to the UFC for a second stint in September 2020.

Jackson has earned 19 of his 22 career victories by stoppage.

Pat Sabatini (17-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC) has suffered both of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Trevin Giles def. Louis Cosce

Trevin Giles (15-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) improved to 1-1 since he dropped to the welterweight division in January 2022.

Giles became the 14th fighter in UFC history to earn victories in three weight classes.

Louis Cosce (7-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has suffered consecutive losses after starting his career 7-0.

Cosce suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Loma Lookboonmee def. Denise Gomes

Loma Lookboonmee (7-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has earned six of her seven career victories by decision.

Trey Ogden (16-5 MMA, 1-1 UFC) emerged victorious as the biggest betting underdog on the card.

Daniel Zellhuber (12-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) had his 12-fight winning streak snapped for the first defeat of his career.

Gillian Robertson’s (11-7 MMA, 8-5 UFC) eight victories in UFC women’s flyweight competition are third-most in divisional history behind Valentina Shevchenko (nine) and Katlyn Chookagian (nine).

Nikolas Motta (13-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has earned all nine of his career stoppage victories by knockout.

Cameron VanCamp (15-7-1 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has suffered both of his UFC losses by knockout.
