UFC Fight Night 196 video: Alex Caceres extends streak with comeback finish of Seungwoo Choi

Alex Caceres earned one of the most resilient wins of his career to date when he rallied to tap out Seungwoo Choi at UFC Fight Night 196.

After struggling with Choi’s (10-4 MMA< 3-3 UFC) striking and getting dropped in the fight, Caceres (19-12 MMA, 14-10 UFC) turned in the tables and found his way to the back of his opponent in the second round for a come-from-behind submission victory courtesy of a rear-naked choke.

It was the 25th octagon appearance for Caceres, and his current five-fight winning streak is the longest of his tenure with the promotion.

Check out the replay of Caceres’ handiwork below (via Twitter):

Caceres admitted post-fight that this was no easy result for him. He said he was hurt badly by Choi, but managed to gather himself and win the fight.

“I didn’t know what happened, honestly – he hit me really hard and I went to the floor,” Caceres said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. “I flashed and was like ‘Oh crap, this might be it.’ I gained my composure right away. I definitely thought I was going out for a second, but the fight in me is a little stronger than that.”
