Dana White’s Contender Series 17 got off to a wild start Tuesday night in Las Vegas when Yorgan De Castro, who was a huge underdog going into the fight, beat Alton Meeks with a vicious leg-kick KO in the final seconds of the first round.
This series, of course, is where up-and-coming fighters can get immediate UFC contracts from UFC Dana White, who watches all the fights from just outside the cage.
Big, impressive finishes in these fights can be life changing. While we don’t know yet if De Castro will get a deal, this leg-kick KO was pretty darn impressive:
