UFC fans bemused by Dominic Cummings advice to Nate Diaz over Dana White

Former chief adviser to the Prime Minister Dominic Cummings has given UFC fighter Nate Diaz advice on his next move in the sport.

49-year-old Cummings left his Downing Street position in November last year, eight months after the infamous trip to Barnard Castle weakened public trust in the government’s response to coronavirus.

The controversial aide is not known to be a UFC fan, with this being the first tweet relating to the sport that we're aware of.

In the bizarre post, Cummings responded to former UFC champion Nate Diaz who simply tweeted: "I'm fight somebody."

Diaz is currently amidst an ongoing contract dispute with the UFC, and is looking to get a new deal signed so he's able to get back into the octagon.

Cummings replied to Diaz, stating that he should not sign a new deal, whilst criticising UFC president and founder Dana White after 'screwing' legendary fighter Georges St-Pierre.

Cummings tweeted: "Do not sign new UFC contract, you will make more cash outside AND @danawhite will come do a deal at some point for trilogy @TheNotoriousMMA fight, but outside you'll have much more leverage & make more $. Look how they screwed @GeorgesStPierre, now waiting for contract to expire."

Many were left confused by the political strategist's recent tweet.

One said: "Dominic Cummings giving advice to Nate Diaz. What kind of parallel universe is this?"

Another added: "I’m confused is this the real Dominic Cummings or a parody account".
