UFC CEO Dana White recently expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of UFC Fight Night 237 held in Mexico City. The event, which took place at Arena CDMX, marked the UFC's return to Mexico since September 2019. White described the weekend as a monumental success for the promotion, with a sold-out arena hosting 21,446 fans for an ESPN+ card.

The main event featured an upset victory by former UFC flyweight title contender Brandon Royval over ex-UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno in a highly anticipated rematch. White highlighted the significance of the event, emphasizing its success and the positive response from fans.

Moreover, the opening of the UFC Performance Institute in Mexico City marked a significant milestone for the promotion. This facility, the third of its kind after Las Vegas and Shanghai, is set to play a crucial role in talent development and community engagement.

White outlined the plans for the UFC PI, including hosting combines to identify potential talents and providing training opportunities for aspiring fighters. He also emphasized the institute's role in engaging with the local community, offering training in various disciplines such as jiu-jitsu, wrestling, boxing, muay Thai, nutrition, and strength and conditioning.

Looking ahead, White expressed optimism about the UFC's future in Mexico, stating that the promotion is just beginning to tap into the country's potential. He mentioned plans for expanding UFC events to various locations across Mexico, underscoring the UFC's commitment to further growth and engagement with Mexican fans.

White's admiration for Mexico's rich fight history, cultural heritage, and passionate sporting community was evident in his remarks. He praised the country's people for their support and camaraderie, expressing his love for Mexico and its vibrant sporting culture.
