UFC boss Dana White reacts to Conor McGregor's arrest for alleged attempted sexual assault and indecent exposure

Dana White has told Conor McGregor to give him a call if he needs help or advice following his arrest for alleged sexual assault and indecent exposure.

The Dubliner was arrested after an alleged incident in a bar in Corsica and was questioned by police.

He has since been released without charge.

McGregor denies all allegations, with his representative telling TMZ Sports :"Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct.

"He has been interviewed and released."

Speaking after the UFC's event in Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday morning, White said: "I don’t know enough about the Conor situation, I know what you have read. I’ve read the same things.

"Conor is retired, I haven’t talked to him. I’m sure he doesn’t need my help or advice, but if he did, he can call."

The UFC President went on to say: “One time, when Conor blew up and Conor was massive, he showed up one time at the venue with so much security I was like this is f***ing ridiculous, no one needs so much security. This kid is just gonna blow all his money on security.

"Then me and Lorenzo [Fertitta] met up with him one night and holy s***, you just don’t understand how big this kid is till you go out with him.

"He was literally getting mobbed. People were going crazy, screaming, jumping up from blackjack tables, leaving their money there and running after Conor. It was some crazy s*** .I’ve never seen anything like that."

He added: “Crazy s*** happens when you’re in that type of lifestyle.

"I’m not defending Conor in any way shape or form. I don’t know enough about the situation to talk about it at all.

"What I do know is that I have gone out with him publicly before, and it is bat s*** nuts.”

McGregor was due to compete in a 180km water cycling race from Corsica to Monaco on Saturday, but was forced to withdraw.

McGregor has spent several weeks in the area as he prepared for the charity event.

He also took in the start of the Tour de France last month alongside the Princess and Prince Albert II.

McGregor has also been joined by his fiancee Dee Devlin after the fighter proposed to his long-term sweetheart over the summer.

The Dubliner has not fought since he beat Donald Cerrone inside 40 seconds in January.

His plans to fight three times this year were shattered by the coronavirus crisis and he retired in June for the third time in four years.

But he had hinted at a return this week when it emerged he is still in the USADA testing pool and was required to take a drug test while on his €3million yacht.
