The UFC has added another middleweight fight to its April 17 event.
The promotion has booked Gerald Meerschaert vs. Bartosz Fabinski as the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night event, which doesn’t currently have an announced location or venue.
Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. The fight was first reported by MMA DNA.
Meerschaert (15-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC) looks to bounce back from a devastating 17-second knockout loss to Khamzat Chimaev in September. The Roufusport product has lost three of four outings entering his April 17 matchup.
Fabinski (31-14 MMA, 6-6 UFC) split his two outings in 2020. After winning a unanimous decision against Darren Stewart in March, Fabinski was submitted by Andre Muniz in September.
With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for April 17 includes:
- Paulo Costa vs. Robert Whittaker
- Bartosz Fabinski vs. Gerald Meerschaert
- Parker Porter vs. Chase Sherman
- Tracy Cortez vs. Justine Kish
