UFC announce highly anticipated return to Dublin later this year

UFC is returning to Dublin for a highly anticipated show later this year.

The MMA promotion is set to hold a fight night in the capital on August 15 at the 3Arena, with tickets going on sale on June 26.

It comes after a host of shows became instant hits with fans, including a momentous Conor McGregor main event against Diego Brandao back in 2014 during the Dubliner's rise to stardom.

UFC first came to Ireland back in 2009 for UFC 93, and their most recent visit saw Paddy Holohan headline a stacked card in 2015.

UFC Senior Vice President, International and Content, David Shaw said: “We kicked off the year with a phenomenal comeback from Conor McGregor at UFC 246, and now we are thrilled to announce our return to Ireland after four-years.

"With Irish fans amongst the most passionate UFC supporters in the world, and Dublin being such an iconic global city, we can’t wait to put on another world class event for our fans there.”
