Amanda Lemos will look to crack the top 10 when she meets a battle-tested veteran.
Lemos (10-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) faces Nina Nunes (10-7 MMA, 4-4 UFC) at a Dec. 18 UFC card. The event doesn’t yet have a known venue or location.
A person with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Combate was first to report the booking.
Brazil’s Lemos is 4-0 since moving down to 115 pounds. The 34-year-old is coming off her second-straight first-round finish. She needed only 35 seconds to TKO Montserrat Ruiz at UFC on ESPN 26 in July.
Nunes, who recently tested positive for COVID-19, will look to snap a two-fight losing skid. After notching four straight wins, Nunes dropped a decision to Tatiana Suarez and was submitted by Mackenzie Dern in her return after an almost two-year long layoff.
