EA Sports has added three new Origin Series II Alter Egos to UFC 5. Players can now step into the octagon as 2006 Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres, 2003 Jorge Masvidal and 2003 Kimbo Slice. The trio of backyard brawlers can be unlocked either by picking them up through in-game purchases or by completing specific challenges.
- Alex Caceres (2006) – “That’s just Miami, man.” Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres says of his history going toe-to-toe in the backyard. Part territorial protection, part a way to make his dreams of being a professional fighter come true, Caceres, always a consummate martial artist, was just as likely to swing bare knuckles as lock up a triangle on the lawn.

Jorge Masvidal (2003) – Before he was dishing out the infamous three-piece and a soda, Jorge Masvidal was serving whoopings alongside Kimbo Slice in Miami. He’d take his talents from the backyard to Sengoku, Strikeforce, UFC, and more, fighting for titles and claiming the first-ever BMF belt along the way — a fitting piece of hardware for the man known as “Gamebred.”

Kimbo Slice (2003) – A viral sensation before it was an everyday occurrence, the late Kimbo Slice became a superstar bubbling below the surface of pop culture thanks to word of mouth and grainy videos of him slugging it out in backyards all over Miami. Soon, he’d break through, fighting in major MMA promotions, competing on The Ultimate Fighter, and then UFC.

The team added Sean Woodson to the roster last week in patch 1.23 along with some new vanity rewards. The update also fixed a bug that caused online matches to show as Did Not Finish when switching user profiles.
Some minor clipping problems with alter egos and created fighter outfits were cleaned up and the trunk colors in the clock UI now more accurately reflect what fighters are wearing. Demetrious Johnson’s UFC 186 alter ego was also updated with a tweak to his arm length to better match his current model.
