RIO DE JANEIRO – MMA Junkie was on-scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC 283 fighter weigh-ins, where everyone made weight for Saturday’s card.
In the main event, former light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira (33-8 MMA, 16-6 UFC) takes on Jamahal Hill (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) for the vacant title. In the co-feature, flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo (21-2-1 MMA, 10-2-1 UFC) and former champ and current interim titleholder Brandon Moreno (20-6-2 MMA, 8-3-2 UFC) who meet for the fourth time in a rematch with the unified title at stake.
All four title-fight competitors made weight without issue, as did the other 26 fighters on the card.

The only fighter to struggle was main event backup fighter Anthony Smith (36-17 MMA, 11-7 UFC), who was four pounds heavy on his first attempt on the scale. He was granted additional time, and cut down to 206.5 pounds. Fortunately, it appears his services won’t be required.

The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in Rio de Janeiro and precede the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 3 p.m. ET at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card on pay-per-view following prelims on ABC and early prelims on ESPN+.
