PHOENIX – Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza are just days away from their UFC 274 title rematch and they now have their first fight week face-to-face in the books.
At the conclusion of Thursday’s pre-fight press conference, Namajunas (11-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC) and Esparza (18-6 MMA, 9-4 UFC) engaged in their first staredown of fight week prior to clashing for the strawweight title in the co-main event.
After Esparza submitted Namajunas in December 2014 to claim the inaugural 115-pound title, the pair are set to run it back. Namajunas now holds the gold, and Esparza will try to derail her championship dream for a second time.

UFC 274 takes place Saturday at Footprint Center. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
