UFC 269 ‘Embedded,’ No. 5: ‘You begged for this fight’

The UFC returns for its final pay-per-view of 2021 on Saturday with UFC 269, which means the fight week video series “Embedded” is back to document the fighters behind the scenes.

UFC 269 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and early prelims on ESPN+.

The top of the bill features two title fights. In the main event, lightweight champion Charles Oliveira (31-8 MMA, 19-8 UFC) looks to defend his title for the first time against former interim champ Dustin Poirier (28-6 MMA, 20-5 UFC). In the co-headliner, two-division champion Amanda Nunes (21-4 MMA, 14-1 UFC) will defend her bantamweight title against a fresh opponent, a very eager Julianna Pena (10-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC).

The main card also features an exciting welterweight matchup between Geoff Neal (13-4 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and Santiago Ponzinibbio (28-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC). Former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt (12-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) will also be in action against Kai Kara-France (22-9 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and fan-favorite finisher Sean O’Malley (14-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) will face off against Raulian Paiva (21-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC).

The fifth episode of “Embedded” follows the featured fighters as they go throughout their fight week. Here is the description from YouTube:

Cody Garbrandt eats his way to flyweight. Sean O’Malley and Raulian Paiva hit the PI. Kai Kara-France brings good energy. Dana White oversees faceoffs between Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier, Amanda Nunes and Julianna Pena, and more at the presser.
