UFC 243 weigh-in results: Two miss weight, but Whittaker vs. Adesanya official

MELBOURNE, Australia – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s official UFC 243 fighter weigh-ins.

The weigh-ins took place at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+. Unlike most UFC events, there were no early weigh-ins for the card.

Among those weighing in were middleweight champion Robert Whittaker (20-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) and interim champ Israel Adesanya (17-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC), who meet in the main event title unification fight. Both headliners were on point, but the same couldn’t be said for two early prelims fighters.
