ABU DHABI – MMA Junkie was on scene and reporting live from Friday’s early and official UFC 242 fighter weigh-ins.
The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in Abu Dhabi and preceded the ceremonial weigh-ins for the fans, which take place at 10 a.m. ET at The Arena at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The same venue hosts Saturday’s event, which has a main card on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.
Among those weighing in were lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0 MMA, 13-0 UFC) and interim champ Dustin Poirier (25-5 MMA, 17-4 UFC), who meet in the main event title unification fight. Both men hit 155 pounds, and were the first pair of fighters on the scale.
