UFC 242 poster released; Belal Muhammad makes his own version featuring a young Paul Felder

One of the most anticipated fights on the UFC’s upcoming schedule is the lightweight battle between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and interim champ Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 242.

UFC 242 will take place Saturday, Sept. 7 at The Arena in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The main card will stream live on pay-per-view after prelims on ESPN+.

Wednesday, the promotion released the official UFC 242 poster which features a stare-down between Nurmagomedov (27-0 MMA, 11-0 UFC) and Poirier (25-5-1 MMA, 17-4-1 UFC).

Check out the poster below, highlighting the 155-pound clash:

Also on the card, lightweight contenders Edson Barboza (20-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC) and Paul Felder (16-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) collide in a rematch of their July 2015 bout. In the first outing, Barboza bested the relatively green short-notice replacement Felder via unanimous decision.

UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad, who will compete against Takashi Sato on the card, decided the UFC 242 poster was not up to his standard. Wednesday, Muhammad took to Twitter after he drafted his own version of the poster.

The makeshift design featured Muhammad, as well as a headshot of his Roufusport teammate Felder from his acting days.

Additional fights on UFC 242 include Curtis Blaydes (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) vs. Shamil Abdurakhimov (20-4 MMA, 5-2 UFC), Islam Makhachev (17-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) vs. Davi Ramos (10-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC), and Mairbek Taisumov (28-5 MMA, 7-1 UFC) vs. Diego Ferreira (15-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC).
