ANAHEIM, Calif. – Anthony Pettis and Nate Diaz came face to face for the first and only time ahead of UFC 241 at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-ins.
After Diaz (19-11 MMA, 14-9 UFC) skipped the media day staredown earlier in the week, he faced off with Pettis (22-8 MMA, 9-7 UFC) at the ceremonial weigh-ins, which took place at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Their final words?
“I feel like it’s time to fight. That’s what I’m here for,” Diaz said. “It’s kill or be killed like I always say, and that’s what I’m here for.”
Said Pettis: “Nothing else is said. Tomorrow night it’s showtime. That’s it, baby.”
UFC 241 takes place Saturday at Honda Center. Pettis vs. Diaz co-headlines the pay-per-view main card, which follows prelims on ESPN and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass.
