It’s the heavyweight rematch that simply had to happen, and Daniel Cormier’s second meeting with record-breaking former champion Stipe Miocic is less than a week away.
The fighters will face off in a rerun of their UFC heavyweight title bout at UFC 226 last summer, when Cormier stunned Miocic in the first round to become the UFC’s latest “champ champ” and end Miocic’s run as the most dominant heavyweight champion in UFC history.
When Cormier’s dream matchup against WWE superstar and former UFC champ Brock Lesnar fell by the wayside, a rematch with Miocic seemed inevitable. Now the pair are set to meet at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., in the main event of UFC 241, which airs live on ESPN+ pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.
