UFC 241 sells out, breaks live gate record for MMA in California

A highly anticipated rematch and the return of Nate Diaz contributed to record numbers at UFC 241.

The pay-per-view event drew an announced sellout crowd of 17,304 fans at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., for a $3,237,032 live gate to set a record for MMA in the Golden State.

In the main event, Stipe Miocic got his revenge by knocking out Daniel Cormier in their rematch to regain the heavyweight title. And in the co-headliner, Diaz overwhelmed former champ Anthony Pettis to win by unanimous decision, which sent the pro-Diaz crowd into a frenzy.

UFC 241 took place Saturday and streamed on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN, ESPN+ and UFC Fight Pass.
