UFC 241 ‘Fight Motion’: Was Nate Diaz inches away from being finished by Anthony Pettis?

As expected, UFC 241 turned out to be one for the history books, with a heavyweight championship rematch, a highly anticipated return and a pivotal middleweight showdown all delivering the goods.

In the main event, Stipe Miocic (19-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC) got his revenge on Daniel Cormier (22-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC), but not before having to rally for a comeback, when he won by knockout late in the fourth round to reclaim the title belt he’d lost to “DC” some 13 months earlier.

In the co-main event, Nate Diaz (20-11 MMA, 15-9 UFC) returned from a three-year absence to put on a stellar performance against former UFC champion Anthony Pettis (22-9 MMA, 9-8 UFC), leading to a unanimous-decision victory for the Stockton, Calif., native.

And not to be outdone in the pre-UFC 241 hoopla surrounding the two fights at the top of the bill, Paulo Costa (13-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and Yoel Romero (13-4 MMA, 9-3 UFC) put on an absolute barnburner in the co-featured bout that was won by Costa and led to “Fight of the Night” bonuses for both men.

Once again at UFC 241, which aired on pay-per-view from Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., the “Fight Motion” cameras captured all the action in glorious super slow motion. Check it out in the video above.
