EDMONTON – UFC 240 ceremonial weigh-ins took place Friday, and MMA Junkie was on the scene for the proceedings.
UFC 240 takes place Saturday at Rogers Place and streams on ESPN+ pay-per-view, with prelims on both ESPN and ESPN+.
In the main event, featherweight champion Max Holloway puts his title on the line against former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar. And in the co-headliner, Cris Cyborg takes on Felicia Spencer in what could be the ex-champion’s final UFC bout.
Faceoffs for both headliners went off without issue, but there were a couple others that UFC president Dana White had to get in the middle of. Chief among them was what happened between Marc-Andre Barriault and Krzysztof Jotko, whose fist touched his opponent’s face, causing White yell out “oh sh*t!” and intervene.
