‘UFC 240 Embedded,’ No. 6: Inside Cris Cyborg’s face-painting ritual

The UFC’s seventh pay-per-view of the year takes place Saturday with UFC 240, and the promotion’s popular “Embedded” series returns to get you ready.

UFC 240 takes place Saturday at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and UFC Fight Pass/ESPN+.

In the main event, Max Holloway (20-4 MMA, 16-4 UFC) defends the UFC featherweight title against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (23-6-1 MMA, 17-6-1 UFC). In the co-feature bout, former UFC, Strikeforce, and Invicta featherweight champion
Cris Cyborg (20-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) takes on undefeated Felicia Spencer (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC).

The sixth episode of “UFC 240 Embedded” features all four headliners. Here’s the UFC’s description:

On Episode 6 of UFC 240 Embedded, all athletes hit their marks at morning weigh-ins: featherweight champion Max Holloway, challenger Frankie Edgar, women’s featherweight Cris Cyborg and opponent Felicia Spencer. Later in the day, the ceremonial event means face paint for the ladies and father-son faceoffs for the headliners.
