UEFA use Kemar Roofe Rangers red as best behaviour warning after booting out striker's appeal

Rangers striker Kemar Roofe 's horror challenge on Ondrej Kolar is being used by UEFA to warn media to be on their best behaviour at Euro 2020.

The Englishman was shown a red card after his high challenge left the Slavia Prague goalkeeper with a fractured skull.

A four-match ban was handed out to Roofe, which was appealed, but UEFA upheld the sanction.

The governing body found the Rangers man guilty of "dangerously assaulting another player".

And they're using an image of the striker being shown a red card to warn journalists to be on their best behaviour in their Euro 2020 accreditation pack.

Roofe being given his marching orders is used to illustrate that infringement of the accreditation rules will see media banned from UEFA tournaments and facing possible legal action.

Slavia boss Jindrich Trpisovsky this week spoke out about the challenge, insisting it could have killed his goalkeeper.

He said: "I never want to see Kemar Roofe ever again in my life and I certainly don't want to encounter him again on a football pitch.

"I can honestly say it was the worst incident I have ever seen on a pitch.

"I spoke to the doctor who was dealing with Ondrej Kolar's injury. He's a facial surgeon. He told me that if Ondrej turned his head a fraction, there was a 95 per cent chance he would be dead."
