UEFA rankings released with Man City and Manchester United positions revealed

UEFA's latest coefficient rankings have been released with the Champions League set to get underway latest this month.

Man City and Manchester United have both been ranked in the top ten ahead of the new campaign.

These rankings determine a club's seeding in draws and the revenue distribution based on results in the Champions League.

They are formed of match points and bonus points collected by clubs during European competitions over the past five years.

Man City have remained in sixth position after their Champions League exit at the quarter-final stage to Tottenham last season.

While United have jumped from 18th to tenth after their performance in the competition last season as they knocked out PSG before losing out to Barcelona - although they aren't in it this season due to not qualifying.

Liverpool are in eighth place despite their Champions League victory with Real Madrid top of the rankings with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona behind them.
