The Uefa Nations League semi-finals are underway today with Portugal and Switzerland battling for a place in Sunday's final.
Cristiano Ronaldo is back on the international scene as the reigning European champions look for more silverware.
England will of course be watching on as they prepare for Thursday's semi-final clash against Netherlands.
Gareth Southgate's Three Lions looked to be down and out of their qualifying after two games, but beat Spain 3-2 away from home before sealing a dramatic 2-1 comeback win over World Cup finalists Croatia at Wembley to reach the finals.
England meet Netherlands on Thursday night for a place in Sunday's final against either Portugal or Switzerland, though Ronald Koeman's thrilling Dutch side will be no pushovers having topped a group featuring France and Germany - the past two winners of the World Cup.
While Nations League glory would be no substitute for the disappointment of being knocked out of the World Cup semi-finals last summer, lifting the nation's first official trophy since 1966 could be the perfect tonic to drive Southgate's young side onto bigger and better things.
