Switzerland vs England
Uefa Nations League Finals 2019
Venue: Estádio D. Afonso Henriques, Guimaraes
Date: Sunday, June 9, 2019
Kick-off time: 2pm BST
England will look to put the disappointment of their latest semi-final defeat behind them and seal third place in the inaugural Uefa Nations League on Sunday.
Gareth Southgate's side were the masters of their own downfall against the Netherlands in Guimaraes on Thursday evening, with pivotal errors from John Stones and Ross Barkley sealing a 3-1 extra-time defeat.
Marcus Rashford had given England a first-half lead from the penalty spot after being fouled by Matthijs de Ligt, but the in-demand Ajax captain atoned for his mistake with a bullet header to equalise before Jesse Lingard's effort was ruled out by VAR following the tightest of offside calls.
Looking to further stall the Three Lions bandwagon on Sunday afternoon is a Switzerland team that saw their final hopes dashed by a trademark display of brilliance from Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portugal captain netted a blistering hat-trick - including a decisive late brace - in a fixture in Porto that had its own fair share of VAR controversy, with Ricardo Rodriguez's spot-kick failing to force extra-time.

Prediction: Switzerland 1-2 England
Much could depend on Southgate's selection, with the popular boss potentially torn between giving those that did not feature against Netherlands a chance to shine and possibly bringing back the Champions League finalists that started on the bench on Thursday.
The Swiss are no pushovers, but England will be eager to put things right and restore confidence and momentum after such a self-inflicted defeat to the Dutch.
