Uefa will redraw the Champions League round-of-16 draw after Manchester United were omitted from the potential list of opponents to face Atletico Madrid.
United were accidentally drawn to play against Villarreal, who they could not face as they played each other in the same group. Footage showed United's ball was then not included among the possible opponents for Atletico Madrid in the next time and Atletico drew Bayern Munich.
Eventually, United were drawn with Paris Saint-Germain - the last of the draws - which would have pitted Cristiano Ronaldo against Lionel Messi.
United did not challenge the draw as they awaited confirmation from Uefa. A Uefa statement said: "Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred.
"As a result of this, the draw has been declared void and will be entirely redone at 1500 CET."
