United join Tottenham in the quarters after Mauricio Pochettino's side brushed aside Borussia Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate, while Ajax shocked Real Madrid with a 4-1 win at the Bernabeu to dump the holders out in the round of 16.
FC Porto are also into the pot for the quarter-final draw after beating AS Roma 4-3 on aggregate after extra time, so the last eight is shaping up nicely.
Manchester City thrashed Schalke 7-0 on Tuesday night - and 10-2 on aggregate - to make it three English teams in the draw, while Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick saw Juventus stun Atletico Madrid to complete another sensational Champions League comeback.
Liverpool completed England's clean sweep against German clubs as they beat Bayern 3-1 in Munich, and Barcelona thrashed Lyon 5-1 at Camp Nou for a spot in the last right.
