Chelsea still had work to do tonight to reach the knockout stages, though Frank Lampard's Blues also progessed with a nervy 2-1 win against Lille.
Elsewhere tonight, Ajax crashed out after a shock 1-0 home loss to Valencia, Barcelona beat Inter Milan 2-1, Borussia Dortmund overcame Slavia Prague 2-1, Napoli thrashed Genk 4-0, Lyon drew 2-2 with RB Leipzig, and Benfica beat Zenit St Petersburg 3-0.
