Which team can have a little bit of fun this season?
UMass doesn’t play a lick of defense, it’s trying to find something that consistently works on offense, and it’s getting bombed on by everyone except for its one win over Akron.
UConn doesn’t play a lick of defense, it’s trying to find something that consistently works on offense, and it’s getting bombed on by everyone except for its one win over Wagner.
The two are so equally awful that they should be able to come up with something fun.
UConn might be bad, but it’s bad by going very slow at times. It’s great at controlling the clock and trying to give its defense as much of a break as possible, but it’s also a problem when offenses score in a big hurry.
The UMass defense is even worse on third downs and even worse overall, and now the UConn offense will finally start to look the part.
The Huskies won’t do anything special, but it’ll run and keep running, mainly because it can. The Minutemen defensive front won’t be able to hold up, UConn will have the ball for close to 40 minutes, and for a week, it’ll look like Randy Edsall’s club is okay.
