UCLA's Jim Mora sells Washington state home for $3 million

Feb. 13--UCLA football Coach Jim Mora and his wife, Shannon, have sold their home in Yarrow Point, Wash., for $3 million.

The Northwestern contemporary, built in 1971 and since updated, is distinguished by double-height interiors with walls of glass. The 6,840 square feet of living space features an art studio, built-in flat-screen televisions, a home theater and a game room with a wet bar.

The master suite, with a large soaking tub and walk-in closet, offers views of Yarrow Bay from a private balcony. In all, there are six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

Multiple decks, a covered patio with a barbecue area and large expanses of grass highlight grounds of about a third of an acre. A guest house adds an additional en-suite and a three-quarter bath.

Mora, who served as an assistant and, for one season, head coach of the Seattle Seahawks from 2007 to 2009, put the two-story residence on the market about a year ago for $3.149 million. He paid $2.425 million for the home in 2007, records show.

Debbie Jaeger of Windermere Real Estate Shoreline was the listing agent. Yubo Yang of MLP Real Estate represented the buyer.

The son of retired NFL coach Jim E. Mora, Mora has led the Bruins to a 29-11 record since taking over the program in 2011. The 53-year-old previously served as a defensive assistant for the Chargers, Saints and 49ers as well as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons from 2004 to 2006.

He and his wife currently reside in Manhattan Beach, near the one-time home of former USC head coach Lane Kiffin.
