UCD given 3-0 win over Bohemians after Bohs field suspended player Danny Mandroiu

Bohs' disappointing loss to UCD on Monday night has gone from bad to worse as the Dalymount Park outfit have been slapped with a 3-0 defeat and a fine after fielding a suspended player.

Danny Mandroiu was due to serve a suspension in the fixture, but played in the 1-0 loss, which also saw a melee involving players and staff members from both teams.

Students' goalkeeper Conor Kearns celebrated the hard-fought win, which came as a result of Yoyo Mahdy's eighth minute goal, in front of the Bohs fans and things kicked off after the fact.

An FAI Statement on the ruling said: "UCD AFC have been awarded a 3-0 victory over Bohemians after it was found that Bohemians fielded an ineligible player in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division fixture.

"The fixture, which took place on Monday, July 15, saw UCD claim a 1-0 victory thanks to Yoyo Mahdy's goal.

"However, an FAI Disciplinary Committee has found that Bohemians played an ineligible player, Daniel Mandroiu, who was due to serve a suspension in the fixture.

"In accordance with the FAI rules, UCD have been awarded a 3-0 victory and a fine has been imposed on Bohemians."
