Ubisoft announces Far Cry 5 will be free over the weekend

Ubisoft has announced they will be making Far Cry 5 free to obtain for all gamers over the weekend.

From today until Monday, August 9, gamers can add Far Cry 5 to their video game library free of charge and on all popular devices.

According to Ubisoft, the following times will be when Far Cry 5 will be available on their respective devices:

All the following times are local.

  • PC via Ubisoft Store: 5 th August at 2pm
  • PC via Epic Games Store: 5 th August at 6pm
  • PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4: 5 th August at 8.01am
  • Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One : 5 th August at 8:01am
  • Google Stadia : 5 th August at 6pm

Player will have complete access to Far Cry 5's main campaign including the two-player co-op story mode- on average, the game takes around 15 hours to complete.

To add to the bonuses for Far Cry 5 this weekend, Ubisoft is also offering an 85% discount on the full game and season pass over the weekend.

The weekend event seemingly celebrates the upcoming release of the next title in the series, Far Cry 6, which is due for release this year on October 7.
