UberEats launches delivery service in Dumbarton

Food lovers in Dumbarton can have their favourite meals delivered in just a few taps, after UberEats launched in the town today (Thursday).

The app, which already has millions of users throughout the country, will allow locals to order initially from KFC and McDonald’s easily and safely from home - with other restaurants including popular Indian Masala Twist set to sign up in the coming weeks.

To get ordering users just need to download the UberEats app or visit Ubereats.com, from where they can enter their postcodes and choose from a growing list of local eateries.

And bosses at the company hope that it could provide a timely boost for restaurants in the town, whilst ensuring that residents can enjoy their favourite meals from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

Toussaint Wattinne, general manager of Uber Eats in the UK, said: “We are really excited to be launching in Dumbarton, firstly with McDonald’s and KFC, and a host of local restaurants joining in the coming weeks.

“We hope to make it even easier for local residents to enjoy a variety of delicious food both comfortably and safely.

“Uber Eats has introduced measures to help ensure that every courier can access the PPE they need for free to help keep them safe when they deliver.”
